The answer is B) 25.
Now, to maximize the range, we need to minimize the temperatures for 4 days so that the 5th day can have maximum temperature and hence maximum range.
Since minimum temperature is 45 degrees, we can consider it to be 45 degrees for 4 days.
And since the average of the 5 days is 50 degrees.
So, on the 5th day the temperature will be 5*50 - 4*45 = 70.
Thus, range i.e. maximum - minimum = 70 - 45 = 25 degrees.
